Antescofo, start-up from the Mutant research team (Inria Paris) is part of the 20 Midemlab finalists 2016

Midemlab is part of the Midem music industry tradeshow, which takes place in Cannes, France from 3-6 June 2016.

This year’s 20 finalists have been selected by Midemlab partners Atomico, Bluenove, and Music Ally, from more than 150 submissions representing 31 countries from around the world. France, Sweden, Germany, the UK and the United States all have three companies each in the Midemlab finals, with other contenders coming from as far afield as Australia, Israel, Slovakia and Spain.

They cover the full scope of music innovation from music discovery, recommendation and creation services , to marketing, social engagement and monetisation solutions (including video, data management, live experience, ticketing, rights administration), along with hardware and the internet of things (including audio solutions and virtual reality).

Finalists will pitch their business in front of the Midem audience and to a jury of potential partners and investors. As well as getting feedback from powerful decision-makers, they will gain valuable international exposure and media coverage. Finalists will also benefit from personalised coaching to prepare their pitch from Abbey Road Red, Europe’s only music tech startup incubation programme.

One winner will be chosen by the jury in each of three categories, to be announced during a special ceremony. The winners will receive a private meeting with leading investment firm Atomico to pitch their business, plus free legal advice from Jeff Liebenson of Liebenson Law.
