Travelling to the Inria Nancy - Grand Est research centre

Whenever you visit the Inria Nancy - Grand Est research centre, located at 615, rue du Jardin Botanique
54600 Villers-lès-Nancy, please show your identification at reception.

By car

From Paris
  • Take the A4, then the A31 in the direction of Nancy
  • Exit: Nancy Brabois/Gentilly
  • Follow the signs to Vandoeuvre, then Villers
  • This will take you to Boulevard des Aiguillettes
  • Continue straight on, then turn right at the sign marked Inria (Rue du Jardin Botanique)
  • Take the third turning on the left and you're there!
From Strasbourg, Epinal or Belfort
  • Take the A33/E23
  • Exit: Nancy-Brabois/Vandoeuvre
  • Follow the signs to Vandoeuvre, then Villers
  • This will take you to Boulevard des Aiguillettes
  • Continue straight on, then turn right at the sign marked Inria (Rue du Jardin Botanique)
  • Take the third turning on the left and you're there!
From Lyon
  • Take the A31 in the direction of Nancy
  • Exit: Nancy Brabois/Gentilly/Vandoeuvre
  • Follow the signs to Vandoeuvre
  • This will take you to Boulevard des Aiguillettes 
  • Continue straight on, then turn right at the sign marked Inria (Rue du Jardin Botanique) 
  • Take the third turning on the left and you're there!

By tram (from Nancy station)

  • Take tram T1 from the "Nancy Gare" stop in the direction of Vandoeuvre-CHU
  • Get off at the "Callot" stop
  • Head in the direction of Lycée Jacques Callot
  • Head up towards the "Campus Sciences"
  • Go through the campus access barrier
  • Cross the car park and Inria is opposite

By bus (from Nancy station)

  • Take the bus number 8 from the "Tisserant" stop in the direction of Vandoeuvre-CHU
  • The bus no longer pass through "rue du Jardin Botanique", and therefore no longer serve "Joseph Laurent" or "Grande Corvée" stops just in front of Inria. The bus will take the Avenue Paul Muller instead.
  • To reach Inria, you can get off at the "Louis Armand" stop in front of collège Louis Armand then walk along Boulevard des Aiguillettes or stop at "Mutualité Télécom", opposite the Télécom school, and cross the campus of Télécom and that of the Faculté des Sciences du Sport (STAPS)

By train

  • Direct trains from Nancy station: 30 minutes from Metz, 1hr15mins from Strasbourg and 1hr30mins from Paris.
  • Direct trains from the Lorraine TGV station (35 km from Nancy): shuttles to Nancy station available (in french)

By plane

  • Metz-Nancy-Lorraine airport can be reached with Keolis shuttle buses. View the timetables on the airport's website.  
  • Nancy is located at 1hr20 mins from Charles de Gaulle airport, 2hrs from Lille Europe, 4hrs from Rennes, 5hrs from Bordeaux and 2hrs40mins from Frankfurt.
