Coming at Inria Lille - Nord Europe research center

The Inria Lille - Nord Europe research centre buildings at Villeneuve d'Ascq house a large part of the centre's administrative staff and its research teams. Two buildings are located in the Haute-Borne Science Park.

InriaTECH staff and some research teams are located at Place Building on the EuraTechnologies site.

Locations of our research teams

A large part of our reasearch and administratif staff is located in the Inria Lille - Nord Europe research centre (Parc scientifique de la Haute-Borne - 40, avenue Halley - A and B building- 59650 Villeneuve d'Ascq)

InriaTECH project managers and engineers and some research staff are located at Place Building on the EuraTechnologies site (172, avenue de Bretagne - 59000 Lille)

Getting to Inria Lille - Nord Europe research center, at Villeneuve d'Ascq

Buildings A and B - Parc Scientifique de la Haute-Borne (40 avenue Halley - 59650 Villeneuve d'Ascq).

By plane:

From Lille-Lesquin aiport, the more practical is to take a taxi. A shuttle makes the trip from the aiport to Lille Flandres train station: more information.

For most international travellers, it is more convenient to land at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG), and then to take the high-speed train at the airport TGV train station (located in terminal 2) to arrive in Lille just 50 minutes later.

From Brussels-Zaventem international airport, there is a 20-minute train travel to Brussels ("Bruxelles Midi" train station) and then it will take less than 40 minutes to reach Lille with high-speed trains (including "Eurostar" trains heading for London).

  • From train station Lille Flandres you just have to take metro line 1 for ten stations to "4 Cantons" (direction "4 Cantons Stade Pierre Mauroy") about 20 minutes. It’s the end of the line.
  • From train station Lille Europe you can reach metro station Lille Flandres by foot or take metro line 2 to one station.
  • From the subway station, you need less than 10 minutes to reach Inria Lille – Nord Europe center.
  • You can also take a cab (15 minutes).

By car:

If you are coming from Paris via the A1/E15 motorway:

  • Go past Lille, following the signs for Villeneuve d'Ascq/Roubaix/Gand/Bruxelles (A22 / E17)  
  • Take exit 2 (Roubaix/Villeneuve d’Ascq N227).
  • At the traffic lights, turn right into Rue du Président Paul Doumer
  • At the first roundabout, turn right.
  • The Inria Lille – Nord Europe research centre is the first building on your left.

If you are coming from Tournai via the N7:

  • Follow the signs to Lille/Lamain
  • Follow the signs to Paris/Lille on the E42
  • Drive into Villeneuve d’Ascq and take the right-hand exit at the roundabout towards Rue Nicolas Appert (D146)
  • Continue straight on into Rue du Président Paul Doumer
  • At the first roundabout, turn right
  • The Inria Lille – Nord Europe research centre is the first building on your left.

If you are coming from Gand via the A22/E17:

  • Head towards Tourcoing Centre/Lille/ Paris
  • Drive past Roubaix and follow the signs for Paris/Villeneuve d’Ascq/Valenciennes
  • Follow the main road until you reach the exit marked "Cité scientifique"
  • At the roundabout, turn right and keep going until you reach the traffic lights.
  • Turn right into Rue du Président Paul Doumer
  • At the first roundabout, turn right
  • The Inria Lille – Nord Europe research centre is the first building on your left

By metro:

  • Take line 1, the direction is "4 Cantons"
  • Get off at the "4 Cantons" terminus
  • The centre is a eight-minute walk from the station.
  • Take "rue Paul Langevin", near the guarded cycle park (a sign will point you towards the park)
  • After the Club House, cut through the car park on the right
  • Once you get to the roundabout, you will see the building on your left

Getting to Inria Lille - Nord Europe research center, at Villeneuve d'Ascq

Bâtiment Place Inria, sur le site d'EuraTechnologies (172, avenue de Bretagne - 59000 Lille).

By metro:

  • From the train station, take line 2 (red line) direction "St Philibert"
  • Get down at the "Canteleu" stop
  • The centre is a 8mn walk from the station
  • At the "Canteleu" stop, on Dunkerque avenue - take on the right at Turgot street
  • At the Copernic junction, take on the left
  • At the Bretagne street junction, take the right, you will arrive at EuraTechnologies esplanade. The building Place is in front of you but the entry is behind (walk around the building).
