In 2018, the Inria Lille centre celebrates its 10th anniversary - one marked by its expansion to the heart of the French Tech ecosystem. Inria has acquired a third building within EuraTechnologies in order to develop its research activity to serve technology transfer and innovation. The inauguration of this building will take place, by invitation, on Thursday 6 December. 'Open day' sessions of the demonstrator area will take place early 2019.

Let's celebrate 10 years of research

With Inria having just celebrated its 50 years, 2018 marks the anniversary of another important stage in the institute's history, the 10th anniversary of the creation of the three research centres: Lille - Nord Europe, Saclay Île-de-France and Bordeaux – Sud-Ouest.

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, our centre is expanding by acquiring a third building located at the very heart of EuraTechnologies.

Let's inaugurate the Place building

Part of the State-Region plan contract, this acquisition has been financed by Inria, the Hauts-de-France regional authority, the MEL (Métropole Européenne de Lille) and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Place building will, from September 2018 onwards, be welcoming two of our research teams, our Technology Transfer, Innovation and Partnerships department, as well as the InriaTech platform furthering the transfer of technologies to businesses.

Discover the latest innovations within an innovative demonstrator area

This building will also be equipped with a technological demonstrator area, presenting the work of our centre's research teams. These demonstrators will enable the discovery of the latest innovations carried out by our teams regarding robotics, artificial intelligence, data processing, the Internet of Things, human-computer interaction and optimisation.

Let's get together at the end of 2018 for the inauguration of the Place building and to celebrate our 10 years of research serving technology transfer and society. Event by invitation only.

Don't miss the 2019 open days

Early 2019, 'open day' sessions of the demonstrator area will be organised:

  • Tuesday 29 January, from 12.00-2.00 pm
