An ambitious site policy for the Lorraine territory

Changed on 08/11/2023

Inria's strategic ambition, clearly announced in its Contract of Objectives and Performance for the period 2019-2023, is to be a national research organisation at the service of the development of major world-class research campuses in digital sciences and technologies. It is in this context that the Inria centre at the Université de Lorraine has signed a strategic agreement with its territorial partner: Université de Lorraine.

Strengthening joint synergies

The Inria centre and the Université de Lorraine have been collaborating for many years through common actions. This strategic agreement will accelerate the digital dynamics of the Lille area.

This ambitious joint site policy allows for better consultation on bilateral actions, but also on actions that lead Inria and its partner to work with third parties, whether with public partners in education, research and innovation, or with private partners, whether French, European or foreign.

It also aims to improve the international attractiveness of the campuses for the benefit of teaching, research in areas of common interest, and job creation. Particular attention is paid to the coordination of HR policies (recruitment, delegation, mobility, reception, etc.), in particular to support the joint project teams created or to be created.

The symbolic, strategic and operational embodiment of these partnerships is the creation of the Inria Centre at Université de Lorraine.
