The rapid convergence of AI and neurotechnologies is increasing the capacities for surveillance and manipulation of brain activity, warranting the development of a new scientific field dedicated to securing the brain—beyond the mere protection of information. This project lays the foundations of cognitive security and seeks to develop frameworks, metrics, and tools that preserve individuals’ autonomy, safeguard cerebral integrity, and strengthen the robustness of decision-making processes.
