Inria at the NEM Summit in Brussels
Here at Inria, we are set to present our research in interfaces and digital content to european experts and representatives from the European Commission.
Inria is taking part in the 2014 NEM Summit, to be held on Tuesday 30 September in Brussels. This summit is a great place to exchange and meet with Europeans involved in digital content, including researchers, engineers, manufacturers and investors. It has been organised in conjunction with representatives from the European Commission, and will give our Institute’s teams the opportunity to present their work, at a time where the Horizon 2020 work program is being developed for 2016 and 2017.
The Inria area will display the results and technologies found by the Potioc and MINT project teams as well as two start-ups – Lingua & Machina and Golaem. Thierry Priol, the Director of European Partnerships, will introduce the afternoon’s meetings by presenting Inria’s research guidelines for NEM (Networked & Electronic Media).
Inria has been a member of the European initiative NEM for a number of years. This technology platform is a network with over 800 members, which brings together Europeans working in digital content (online interactive convergent media and creative industries). NEM aims to provide a strategic research agenda and a shared vision to guide the European Commission on technological developments in the field.
