Inria is to present its work at the 2013 SIGGRAPH conference

Inria will be presenting its computer graphics expertise at SIGGRAPH 2013. This event, which will take place 21 to 25 July in Anaheim, California, is a must for all the players in the field of imaging.

The event includes scientific conferences, technological presentations, workshops, seminars, a computer animation festival, and an exhibition. The biggest names in special effects, animation, and video games—such as DreamWorks, Pixar, and even Disney—will be there as well.

Inria will be among the exhibitors in the French pavilion. This booth, one of the largest in the exhibition, is co-organised by our partners, the business clusters Cap Digital and Imaginove. Inria began its work in computer graphics research in the late 1980s and today it has nine teams working in the field: Alice, Bipop, Geometrica, Hybrid, Imagine, Manao, Maverick, Reves and Titane.

  • A new model of mechanical rod based on spiral by bibop Project team

  • The notion of shape differences by Geometrica Project team

  • Hapseat, the 4D cinema chair, designed by Inria research team Hybrid

  • Real-Time Skin Deformation with Contact Modeling by Imagine Project team

  • Implicit skinning a method to estimate the curvature of 3D object by Manao

  • Stylized images by Reves project team
