Ludovic Mé, Deputy Scientific Director
Ludovic Mé is Deputy Scientific Director at Inria, responsible for Cybersecurity. In particular, he was one of the coordinators of the White Paper on Cybersecurity published in January 2019, to take stock of the major scientific and technological challenges and to raise awareness among all of us of the essential nature of the subject.
Ludovic Mé was associate professor and full professor at Supélec and CentraleSupélec from 1988 to 2017. He has been on secondment at Inria since early 2018. His field of research is reactive security (intrusion detection, alert correlation). However, it also focused on the security of self-organized networks (ad hoc, P2P) and computer virology.
From 1997 to 2011, Ludovic Mé led a project team in information systems and network security. Then, from July 2011 to April 2016, he was in charge of the CIDRE Inria project-team. From September 2008 to September 2015, Ludovic Mé led the 3rd year major of Supélec dedicated to IT security. From January 2015 to February 2019, he was scientific delegate at the Inria centre in Rennes Bretagne Atlantique. Since March 2019, he has been Deputy Scientific Director in charge of cybersecurity.
Ludovic Mé is a Supélec engineer (1987), PhD of the University of Rennes 1 (1994) and holds an HDR from the same university (2003).
