Hugues Berry, Deputy Scientific Director

Hugues Berry was nominated Deputy Scientific Director in charge of the research field "Digital Health, Biology and Earth" in 2018.
He graduated from the University of Technology of Compiègne with a Ph.D. in Enzyme engineering and obtained an Habilitation degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Orsay Paris-Sud in 2008. From 2000 to 2004, he was Associate Professor with the Life Science Department of the University of Cergy-Pontoise and moved to INRIA in 2004, first in Saclay, then in Lyon since 2009. His research interests are in computational cell biology and computational neuroscience, focusing on the spatiotemporal dynamics of cell signaling and intracellular biochemistry and the molecular networks implicated in neuronal plasticity and glial cell-neuron interactions.
