Presentation of Inria Awards

Since 2011, the Inria Awards honour innovative scientific contributions to computer science and mathematics and promote the contributions and successes of those who are driving the development of our digital world.

Since 2013, The French Académie des sciences and Inria are working in partnership to select the winners of the Inria Awards for science, in each of three categories: Grand Prize, Young researcher and Innovation.

Dassault Systèmes is Inria and French Académie des sciences partner to award the Innovation prize.

The Inria awards also underline the contributions of research and innovation support teams who play a significant part in the efficiency and successes of Inria. 

Inria Awards  categories

PRIZE AWARDED SCIENTIST OR A GROUP OF SCIENTISTS OR A RESEARCH TEAM

Scientists rewarded will conduct their business in a French institution, regardless of nationality or affiliation.

  • The Inria/French Académie des sciences Grand Prize honors a scientist or a set of scientific or research team who made outstanding contributions to the field of computer science and mathematics .
    Grant: € 25,000
  • The Inria/French Académie des sciences Young Researcher Award rewards a scientist under 40 years who made a major contribution through its research , transfer or innovation to the field of computer science and mathematics.
    Grant: € 20,000
  • The  Inria/French Académie des sciences/Dassault Systèmes Innovation Award honors a scientist or a set of scientific or research team has been particularly active in the issues of transfer and innovation in the field of computer science and mathematics.
    Grant: € 20,000
PRIZE AWARDED ENGINEERING, TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE Inria STAFF
  • Inria's Support for Research and Innovation Award . Awarded to an engineer , technician or administrative staff Inria or a set of agents whose technical expertise , initiatives and outreach have contributed to the efficiency and the recognition of activities in support of research and the innovation. This prize goes to persons engaged in scientific directions, the services responsible for the development, transfer and exploitation of scientific and technical information.
    Grant: € 15,000.
  • The Award for Research Support Service rewards a service center Inria research or functional Inria management or team belonging to several services activity and contribution during the year have been particularly noteworthy. People concerned are working in the services of the functional departments , services research centers in charge of general services , human resources , administration and finance, information technology , communication , scientific events , team assistants research.
    Grant: € 15,000.
