On the occasion of the first Semaine du Numérique in Northern France, the Inria centre at the University of Lille is contributing to the digital edifice.
Semaine numérique Hauts-de-France

The Semaine du Numérique (Digital Week) is the result of a regional initiative, which aims to highlight the actions and wealth of digital players throughout the Hauts-de-France region.
From 20 to 24 June, 220 events, ranging from conferences to workshops, will be organised by public, private and associative partners throughout the region.

The aim of this first edition? To unite the entire digital ecosystem of the Hauts-de-France!

The Inria centre at the University of Lille is organising three events for this week.

Recherche X Entreprises : decoding cybersecurity

20 June 2022, 5-6.30pm

Semaine du numérique 20/06

Because data protection in companies is an important issue in cybersecurity, the Inria centre at the University of Lille has joined forces with the Club Vision numérique to help companies in the Hauts-de-France region discover what cybersecurity research can do for them.

Discussions on these subjects will be proposed between the DSI (Information Systems Management) and the researchers in order to make companies aware of the issues surrounding cybersecurity, particularly the security of information systems. The researchers will also present their research projects, which offer solutions in terms of cybersecurity. Guillaume Larchevêque will also present Codaxis, an Inria start-up that offers banks and insurers the possibility of analysing and mapping the structure of their software.

Discover the world of digital research!

22 June 2022, 14:00-15:30

Semaine du numérique 22/06

One of the aims of the Semaine du Numérique des Hauts-de-France is to promote the diversity of digital professions. In this sense, the University of Lille and Inria are opening the doors of Interface to students and doctoral students in order to give them a taste of research in the digital sciences.

Through the visit of the technological showroom, they will have the opportunity to discover the diversity of possible fields in the digital environment, such as data sciences, optimisation or deformable robotics. As a field with broad domains, digital science also has a wide range of applications, as Odalric-Ambrym Maillard will explain in his presentation on the benefits of artificial intelligence in agroecology.

(Deep)tech entrepreneurship: it's not rocket science!

24 June 2022, 9.30-11am

Semaine du numérique 24/06

The Inria centre at the University of Lille is keen to be part of a rich digital ecosystem, bringing together public and private players in the Hauts-de-France. Inria and the University of Lille are organising a third event, this time aimed at entrepreneurs and project leaders, to raise awareness of deeptech entrepreneurship.

During the visit to the Interface showroom, they will discover the diversity of projects carried out at Inria: they can be carried out in collaboration with companies and range from optimisation to the Internet of Things, via artificial intelligence. On the entrepreneurial side, Inria Startup Studio is an ambitious scheme dedicated to digital deeptech startups. In this respect, a presentation of the scheme will be given to the participants, accompanied by testimonies from project leaders and startups, respectively supported and from Inria.
