Hugo Talbot

Hugo Talbot studied mechanical engineering and graduated in 2010 from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and INSA Lyon (France). He defended his PhD in medical simulation at Inria in 2014. His work focused on real-time simulation of the electrical activity of the human heart. From 2014 to the end of 2015, Hugo then worked on cryoablation simulation and cardiac electrophysiology as a research engineer. Since 2016, Hugo Talbot has been the coordinator of the open source SOFA project. Hugo's objectives are to support research and industrial projects based on SOFA, to foster collaborations and to ensure, with the members of the consortium, the definition of a technical roadmap.
