Sino-European Laboratory in Computer Science, Automation and Applied Mathematics (LIAMA)
The Sino-European Laboratory in Computer Science, Automation and Applied Mathematics (LIAMA) is hosted by CASIA, the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has taken the form of a consortium since 2008 and its members include European and Chinese partners (research institutions, universities, industrialists). The evolving nature of the Laboratory's structure allows the addition of new partners to the Consortium.
Researchers participating in this laboratory collaborate on research projects geared to software, multimedia interpretation and interaction, as well as the development of medical imaging and the modelling of environmental questions. LIAMA thus offers a platform for the intake of researchers and interns.
Inria and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) have also signed an agreement to support collaborative projects. Integrated in the Associate Team program through specific calls, a call for proposals is launched every year.
