Marie-Paule Cani has just won the Eurographics Outstanding Technical Contributions Award. This internationally recognized distinction rewards her work in implicit modelling, animation and interactive shape design. Marie-Paule Cani, a university professor in Grenoble, leads the EVASION team, a joint Inria Grenoble and Jean Kuntzmann laboratory team, which is affiliated with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the universities of Grenoble.

Nuukik won the Best Data Analysis award at the Connected Commerce Show 2015 for its innovative project on seasonalised recommendations, to adapt recommendations according to the season and the temporal context. A project conducted with the expertise of the Sequel project team at Inria Lille - Nord Europe.
SFR / Medicen / SNITEM Award
The SFR/Medicen/SNITEM prize supporting new, innovative companies in diagnostic and interventional medical imaging will be awarded at the 65th edition of the French Days of Radiology Congress (JFR). Three Inria startups are among the six finalists.
Ayoub Tamim, former PhD student from the Geostat project team, receives the 2017 Hubert Curien Thesis Award gold medal for the quality of the work carried out in his thesis entitled "Segmentation and classification of satellite images: application to the detection of Moroccan coastal upwelling zones and implementation of a spatio-temporal monitoring software program".
