European FITT Project
From 28 to 30 January, the Inria Rennes – Bretagne Atlantique research centre is hosting its partners in the FITT project for a second working session. Objectives: promote continued discussions between partners, exchange experiences and know-how and identify priority projects.
Valérie Issarny, Research Director at Inria's Paris-Rocquencourt research centre, was presented with her award at the French launch of the Horizon 2020 programme, which took place on Monday 16 December 2013.
The Académie des sciences (French Academy of Sciences) and Inria are now working in partnership to select the winners of the Inria Awards for science, in each of three categories. Together, they honour innovative scientific contributions to computer science and mathematics and promote the contributions and successes of those who are driving the development of our digital world.

EIT ICT Labs
After a first successful round last spring, the EU wide contest for innovative start-ups, IDEA Challenge, is back and open from September the 1st to September the 30th. 12 new start-ups will be rewarded by EIT ICT Labs in 4 innovation areas: Cyber Security and Privacy, Internet of Things, Urban Life and Mobility, Smart Energy Systems.
Here at Inria, we are set to present our research in interfaces and digital content to european experts and representatives from the European Commission.
With its official status as an ERIC, DARIAH aims to use digital sciences in the interests of the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). The consortium’s Director is Laurent Romary, an Inria Research Director. The consortium will be inaugurated on 17 November at the French Ministry for Research.
