The Inria Bordeaux–Sud-Ouest Research Centre was created in 2008 and is located on the Bordeaux and Pau university campuses. The Centre, together with its academic and industrial partners, carries out research activities in computational sciences and technologies (IT/mathematics), boosted by technology transfer and innovation in a particularly stimulating and dynamic region.
The Inria Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest Research Centre works in close collaboration with its academic partners, both in Bordeaux and Pau. These very strong ties with the academic world will be strengthened thanks to the new premises at the heart of the Information and Communication Science and Technologies campus.
Innovation - Technology transfer policy
A large proportion of the research that we currently conduct at the Inria Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest Centre aims to meet the technology needs of businesses. This is why we hold ongoing dialogue with socioeconomic players in the greater Sud-Ouest region.
The Inria Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest Centre aims to do everything in its power to foster scientific "catalysis". As such, the Centre is involved in a number of technology development actions, including the development of one platform in high performance computing: PlaFRIM.
