To better separate the different sounds within a recording in order to remix them at will and rebroadcast them in 3D: that is the objective of i3DMusic, a French-Swiss collaboration featuring two SMEs and two research centres. Higher-performing algorithms could lead to the appearance of new applications for music professionals, as Emmanuel Vincent, manager of this research at the Inria Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique centre, explains.

From March 13 to 15, the HAID conference organized at Inria Lille will bring together researchers from the audio, haptics and human-computer interaction communities. This event will provide a forum for dialogue on inventing tomorrow's interactive devices, and will also include a day dedicated to exchanges with industry.
Science for all
This Saturday, October 20, was held for its eighth edition, the Journée Science et Musique, at Le Diapason on the Beaulieu campus in Rennes. More than 500 visitors came to this closing event of the Festival des Sciences. Alone or with the family or even with the 3 generations gathered together, simple curious people or confirmed musicians, passionate about Science, high school students or students in search of knowledge, all came to meet Inria and IRISA researchers to discover the interactions of Digital and Music.
