NLAFET – a high-profile computing research project funded with nearly €4 million

[2015-11-19] Alpines, Inria Rocquencourt, together with three international partners, have been funded with nearly 4 million euros (3,907,375) for a front-line research project, named NLAFET, focusing on novel methods and software for the future supercomputer systems.NLAFET is coordinated by Umeå University (UMU), Sweden, with international partners from University of Manchester (UNIMAN), United Kingdom, Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique (INRIA Rocquencourt, Alpines), France, and The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), United Kingdom.

Laura Grigori (Alpines) winner of an ERC Synergy grant

The Extreme-scale Mathematically-based  Computational Chemistry (EMC2)  project led by Eric Cancès, Laura Grigori, Yvon Maday and Jean-Philip Piquemal  has won an ERC Synergy Grant  in the context of the 2018 call for projects, and is one of the 27 winners announced on Tuesday, October 23 2018. The four EMC2 principal investigators explain the challenges of this very high-level research project.
