In the heart of the Moulon district of the Saclay campus, the PCRI, a joint research centre in computer science, was inaugurated on Wednesday November 9th 2011 in the presence of Laurent Wauquiez, the French Minister of Higher Education and Research. The new 6,000 m² building will house almost all the research teams from the Computer Science Laboratory (LRI), the Paris-Sud/CNRS joint research unit and several other project teams from the Inria Saclay -Ile de France centre. The themes concerned by the PCRI researchers and research-lecturers cover a wide range of topics in computer science, from fundamentals to applications.
The extension of the Alan Turing building, headquarters of the Inria Saclay - Île-de-France research center, was inaugurated on Tuesday 14 February 2017. After 2 years of construction, the building now extends over 12,000 m² and has more than 120 news offices, a FIT IoT-Lab wireless sensor platform or a 130-seat amphitheater.
The inauguration of Espace LOGIN at Inria Grenoble - Rhône-Alpes took place on 2 and 3 May 2017. This area of discovery, demonstrations and exchanges on the digital sciences is now open for guided and individual visits, from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30 pm.
In 2018, the Inria Lille centre celebrates its 10th anniversary - one marked by its expansion to the heart of the French Tech ecosystem. Inria has acquired a third building within EuraTechnologies in order to develop its research activity to serve technology transfer and innovation. The inauguration of this building will take place, by invitation, on Thursday 6 December. 'Open day' sessions of the demonstrator area will take place early 2019.
