Biomedical engineers at Duke University, in collaboration with Inria and the Institut Pasteur (Paris), have shown experimentally that there is more than one flavor of antibiotic resistance and that it could -- and should -- be taken advantage of to keep first-line antibiotics in our medical arsenal.

InBio: interdisciplinarity rewarded

Researchers from the Institut Pasteur and Inria, in collaboration with the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), Paris Diderot University and the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria, have published two articles in Nature Communications on the control by computer of cell processes; scientific advances made possible by the alliance between two disciplines that are today complementary - biology and the computer science.

Creation of InBio

On 1 February InBio was created, the result of the collaboration between the Inria Saclay - Île-de-France research centre and the Institut Pasteur. Grégory Batt becomes the head of this exploratory action hosted by the Lifeware team and presents his project: automating the discovery process in biology.
