Fabien Lotte is a researcher at Inria’s Bordeaux centre. He works on brain-computer interfaces by modelling the learning processes. He has just been awarded an ERC Starting Grant, which will allow him to open up this still recent field of research to the human factor, an aspect that has been largely overlooked by the specialists and that could help improve the use of interfaces.
The Innovation Day (“Journée de l’Innovation”) is an annual event organised by the National Education Ministry. It aims to promote innovating pedagogical actions conducted in schools, colleges and high schools. This year, 450 projects have been submitted and 30 were selected, five among them in the “Science and technology culture” category. One of this project is carried by Dr. Lauren Thévin from Inria Bordeaux – Sud-Ouest.
Inria Bordeaux - Sud-Ouest research centre creates "Interfaces", Aquitaine scientific symposium for digital sciences. This serie of talks will host several times a year, scientists from entire world, recognized for the quality of their work and the results they produce. Topics will treat about computer sciences and applied mathematics but mostly about their intersections with others sciences and fields. Medicine, Social sciences and humanities, art, etc. are such topics that will be addressed.
