Complex network theory and the brain

Two researchers of the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle épinière – ICM – Brain and Spine Institute, Fabrizio DE VICO FALLANI and Mario CHAVEZ, in collaboration with the University of Grenoble (Sophie ACHARD) and the Stanford University (Jonas RICHIARDI), have contributed to the theme issue with a review on the use of graph analysis of functional brain networks. The major thrust of this review is to provide researchers and neuroscientists with focused indications to make sense of their brain network analysis and avoid the most common traps in using graph theory.

Stanley Durrleman receives an ERC Starting Grant

Specialist in neuroimaging data, Stanley Durrleman is a researcher with Aramis, a joint team between Inria-Paris and the French Brain and Spine Institute (ICM). His work on digital models of the brain development and ageing has enabled him to win an ERC grant, awarded by the European Commission.

Towards more reproducible research in artificial intelligence for medicine

Being able to reproduce the results obtained is a major challenge in biomedical research, and an essential stage in drawing lasting conclusions from them. Olivier Colliot and Stanley Durrleman's ARAMIS team is an Inria team (based at the ICM (Brain and Spine Institute), jointly with the CNRS, Inserm and Sorbonne University) that has developed a set of software tools enabling reproducibility in medical decision-making support system evaluation studies. The results are published in the journal Neuroimage.
