With its research teams based in Nice, Sophia Antipolis, Montpellier, Bologna and Athens, Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre is a major player in the field of digital sciences and technologies deliberately oriented towards the European Research Area - in particular the European Research Council (ERC) - but also involved in higher education and research ecosystems and innovation ecosystems.
Thus, Inria has developed strong partnerships with local academic actors (Nice Sophia Antipolis University, Montpellier University, CNRS, INRA). Partner of the I-SITE MUSE supported by the University of Montpellier, the institute has also actively participated in the construction of the University Côte d' Azur (UCA) and more particularly in the IDEX UCA Jedi, of which it is a founding member.
As far as innovation is concerned, our action in terms of partnership research and transfer takes the form of our involvement in the SCS competitiveness cluster, the French Tech Côte d' Azur and the PACA Est incubator.
