An ongoing dialogue with the socioeconomic players and companies of our PACA region
One of the preferred methods for technology transfer is the creation of start-ups marketing technologies derived from the results of research. Since 1987, the Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre has started up about 20 technology companies.
The Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre hosts several experimentation platforms, vital tools for research and evaluation, open to the territory's scientific community.
- Gouraud-Phong: an immersive space with variable dimensions
- Plexus: a platform for the study of wireless networks
- Medical imaging platform
- dtk: a metaplatform for software development
Our Centre is active in the field of technology transfer and innovation. Our research teams are thus the source of many key technologies, including HOP and ns-3. The HOP language makes it possible to develop Diffuse Web applications. As for ns-3, it is a network simulator permitting the validation and optimisation of network protocols, such as WiFi or WiMAX.
