Develop new collaborations in data management systems
Yanlei Diao joined École Polytechnique in September 2015. Holder of an University Paris-Saclay IDEX Chair (supported by Inria, École Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech), Yanlei will work with project-team CEDAR which succeeds project-team OAK, at Ioana Manolescu's side, research director at Inria Saclay - Île-de-France research center.
Internationally recognized for her expertise on processing massive data flows, Yanlei Diao has developed numerous collaborations with companies like Google or Microsoft. She is eager to develop new collaborations in data management systems, on topics such as large-scale Web data analysis, real-time stream processing, and high-performance genomic data analysis.
Yanlei Diao graduated with a PhD from UC Berkeley after obtaining a Master of science degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She then rapidly became tenured Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where she developed research and teaching in the field of big data analytics.
