Stéphane Ubeda is nominated as the new director of the Inria Rennes Bretagne Atlantique’s research center

Antoine petit, Inria’s CEO, has nominated Stéphane Ubeda as the new director of the Inria Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique’s research center, replacing Bertrand Braunschweig from the october 1st 2015.
PhD student in informatic at the Bernard University (Lyon), Stéphane Ubeda started his career as a senior lecturer at the Jean Monnet University (Saint Étienne) and as a member of the Parallel Computing Laboratory of the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. He works in the field of parallel algorithms within the REMAP project team at Inria.
In 2000, he becomes a University’s Teacher at the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon where he’s in charge to launch the school's research activities in the fields of telecommunications, networks and distributed systems.
The Center for innovations in telecommunications and integrated services is the laboratory that he sets up and runs until September 2009.
During this period, he creates and leads at Inria, the ARES project-team. From 2008, he joins the AMAZONES team. From 2009, Stéphane Ubeda becomes, for six years, the Director of Technology Development at Inria. He takes now the leadership of the research center Inria Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique.
