Anne-Marie Kermarrec, a senior research scientist at the Inria Rennes – Bretagne Atlantique centre, has been presented with the 2013 Google Focused Award. The award comes in recognition of the Web-Alter Ego project, which she is pursuing in collaboration with EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), and which focuses on the establishment of an original architecture for personalising web services. Her work is being conducted within the ASAP project team, which she leads. This ambitious project will benefit from the results she obtained as part of the ERC SG project GOSSPLE.

On 16 October 2012, the B-com Institute for Technological Research (IRT) signed a funding agreement with the French National Research Agency (ANR). Based in Rennes, with secondary sites in Brest and Lannion, B-com is the fourth French IRT to be created.

Inria is hiring twenty-nine researchers in 2013


Inria will be holding competitive exams to fill research positions from 15 January on. In 2013, the Institute will be hiring twenty young graduate scientists and nine senior researcher via an externalized competitive selection process.  The positions in question are based all over France. If you are interested, please submit your application before 18 February.
