An extensive partner network
Inria Paris-Rocquencourt develops close scientific partnerships with international teams and many higher education and research establishments from the Île-de-France region.
More than half of teams working in partnerships
Of the centre's 38 research teams (excluding LIAMA), around twenty are joint teams with partners such as Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris Diderot, Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée and Versailles Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines universities, the École Nationale des Ponts ParisTech, the École Normale Supérieure de Paris, and the Université de Technologie de Troyes.
Some of our teams are also shared with other research organisations such as the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) or Microsoft Research.
Digiteo thematic network for advanced research (RTRA)
Inria Paris-Rocquencourt is involved in the Digiteo thematic network for advanced research, which brings together expertise from six establishments (the CEA, the CNRS, SUPELEC, the École Polytechnique and Université Paris-Sud 11) to design and develop software-heavy systems.
Paris-Rocquencourt partners LIAMA
This is a laboratory located in Beijing (China) whose partners, apart from Inria, include the CNRS, INRA-CIRAD, and the Ecoles Centrales inter-establishment group on the French side, and the Academy of Sciences and the University of Tsinghua on the Chinese side.
Some LIAMA teams are led by Inria researchers or have Inria associate team status. All of these teams are, for administrative purposes, managed by the Inria Paris-Rocquencourt research centre. They are:
- CAD: Computer Aided Design
- FORMS: Formal Methods for Embedded Systems
- CRYPT : Algorithmes, Calcul certifié et Cryptographie
Training through research
Working closely with the universities and schools of the Île-de-France region, Inria Paris-Rocquencourt attaches special importance to training through and for the benefit of research.
The Rocquencourt centre is associated with the main ICST Masters programmes and doctoral schools in the Ile-de-France region and its research teams are home to more than 180 PhD students.
More than 3,000 hours of postgraduate-level classes are delivered by Inria Paris-Rocquencourt researchers in Parisian universities and Grandes Ecoles.
