Jifeng Xuan rewarded for his thesis in software-engineering
Jifeng Xuan, post-doctoral student in Spirals team, just received a PhD thesis award from the CCF (China Computer Federation), for the work done during his thesis at the Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China.
Jifeng Xuan, post-doctoral student in Spirals team (associated with Lille 1 University*) of Inria Lille – Nord Europe, was rewarded for this work on his thesis «Data Analysis with Applications of Software Bug Repositories ». The PhD thesis award from the CCF he received is highest award given by the CCF for PhD students.
This award is given annually among doctoral students who have defended their thesis in the past three years. Each year, only ten students in China receive this prestigious award, whose application is only possible once. Jifeng Xuan is the first student from the Dalian University of Technology to get this prize. He is also the only one this year, to win this prize in the field of software engineering, area in which he continues to develop expertise in Spirals team.
