Human ressources : guidance and support
The Inria Lille–Nord Europe Human Resources Department is a local department that manages, supports, and advises all permanent and non-permanent staff members throughout their Inria career.
Human Resources (HR) oversees recruitment, contract monitoring, and careers of all personnel working in the centre. HR's primary role is to act as the staff's main point of contact regarding any questions about their career, training, employment mobility requests, professional development, etc.
Above all else, working in HR means providing service at a local scale. This department is in charge of making sure new arrivals are smoothly integrated into the company as well as overseeing PhD students and the probationary period for engineers, civil servants, and administrative technicians.
One of the strengths of the Inria Lille–Nord Europe HR Department is its international employment mobility section, which is dedicated to welcoming personnel from abroad.
A key asset of HR is the range of services it offers in terms of guidance and advice, which allows it to respond to every question with a detailed answer within a reasonable time frame.
Guidance and Support
In addition to providing localised support, "a key asset of HR is the range of services it offers in terms of guidance and advice, which allows it to respond to every question with a detailed answer within a reasonable time frame, including questions about staff administration", explains Samia Tonus, Human Resources Department Director. Every time an employee submits a request, the department provides guidance by suggesting possible courses of action, thereby allowing him or her to make a well-informed decision. All services provided by HR come with such support, ensuring that every request is met with situation-specific advice.
