Café scientifique: Open Science

What if Open Science was a new science? Monday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m., at Plateau Inria of EuraTechnologies, will be a café scientifique about the concept of Open Science. It will gather about thirty members of the subject. The goal? Debate and discuss about this movement which is becoming increasingly important.
What is Open Science? It’s a movement advocating free access to data (Open data), and publications (Open Access) of science. This movement finds itself in the era of the « open » which affects more and more sectors. Open Science encourages dissemination of research via Internet and social web.
During this evening, four specialists of open Science will be present to provide their expertise on the following questions:
- Should we prefer Open Science to traditional practice of research?
- Are they any limits to this new model?
- What future for Open Science?
- How to build an effective Open Science action?
