Industrial transfer

The GeoStat project team and the company i2S join forces

The GeoStat project team and the company i2S, pioneer and leader on the digital vision, optronics and image processing markets, joined forces in 2017 in a three-year industrial transfer project.

Thanks to the work of a former PhD student, Hicham Badri, winner of the AFRIF (French Association for the Recognition and Interpretation of Shapes) Best Thesis Prize, the GeoStat project team has developed an expertise and an innovative approach to image processing, in particular in non-convex and sparse optimisation. This method enables i2S to optimise performances and to solve colouring, denoising and reflection removal issues in its i2s DigiBook solution. i2S DigiBook proposes high resolution book scanners, image processing software and online library creation solutions. This new approach gives i2S a true technological advantage over its competitors.
