Robots show off their skills at Cervorama !

Since 2 March, the Cervorama exhibition at Cap Sciences has been attracting adults and children alike to come and play with Odo and Ada, two small wheeled robots that can be controlled blind in order to understand how the brain works.

Better analysis of scans to adapt radiotherapy

The MC2 team at Inria-Bordeaux Sud-Ouest has developed an adaptive radiotherapy technique for automatic monitoring of organs using low-resolution control scans. The benefit for the patient is that it avoids overdoses in at-risk organs.

A new partnership for the Bordeaux–Sud-Ouest Centre, to improve future healthcare

On 12 April, Inria Bordeaux–Sud-Ouest  signed a partnership agreement with Interaction Healthcare , of the Interaction Group. Interaction Healthcare will be working with the CARMEN  research team, which specialises in modelling and calculations for cardiac electrophysiology. The aim is to develop a serious game platform called Medic ActiV, designed for healthcare professionals. The scientific partners for the project are the university hospital institute LIRYC (University Hospital Institute for Cardiac Arrhythmia Research, Care and Technology Transfer) and the university hospital centre.

Inria is hiring twenty-nine researchers in 2013

Inria will be holding competitive exams to fill research positions from 15 January on. In 2013, the Institute will be hiring twenty young graduate scientists and nine senior researcher via an externalized competitive selection process.  The positions in question are based all over France.
