Improving Situation Awareness in Smart Infrastructures
In these days, ICT technologies are merged into classic infrastructures such as buildings, factories, and pipelines. Vast number of sensors are deployed on wide areas and generates tons of data in every second.
Also, powerful computing services, so called edge computing or fog computing, are provided to end users with container technologies and various communication techniques.
With these trend, new challenges have arisen in the area of situation awareness in smart infrastructures such as supporting scalability and reliability. In this talk, a case study of scalable dynamic evacuation routing in large smart building is presented, and other research issues which strengthen the observation-analysis-action loop are discussed.
