Titre anglais : Parametric Surfaces Meshing. Part I: Theoretical Aspect
Abstract : This paper presents a novel approach for meshing parametric surfaces. The basic idea is to perform the triangulation completely in the parametric space. The mesh generation is then governed by metric specifications deduced from the intrinsic properties of the surface. The method is of Delaunay type applied in a riemannien context. Some examples showing the efficiency of the proposed method are given in Part II of this paper.
Résumé : Ce papier présente une nouvelle approche pour la triangulation des surfaces paramétriques. L'idée de base consiste à construire la triangulation dans l'espace des paramètres. Le maillage est alors gouverné par un champ de métriques relevant des propriétés intrinsèques de la surface. La méthode utilisée est de type Delaunay appliquée dans un context riemannien. Des exemples montrant l'efficacité de la méthode proposée font l'objet de la partie II de ce papier.
