Eitan Altman : Best article - IFIP Wireless Days 2009

Amar Prakash Azad, Sara Alouf , Eitan Altman (équipe-projet MAESTRO) Vivek Borkar (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, IN), Georgios S. Paschos (CERTH - ITI, Center for Research and Technology, Greece. GR) received the prize of the best paper "Vacation Policy Optimization with Application to IEEE 802.16e Power Saving Mechanism", during the IFIP Wireless Days 2009 - 15-17 December 2009 - Paris.

Quentin Mérigot (project-team GEOMETRICA): Best Paper Award - GDSPM'09

Quentin Mérigot received the best paper award at GDSPM'09 for his article signed jointly by Marks Ovsjanikov and Leonidas Guibas from Stanford University: "Robust Voronoï-Based Curvature and Feature Estimation".

Stéphane Cotin, Yiyi Wei, Le Fang, Jérémie Allard, Chunhong Pan, Songde Ma received the prize of the best article in the category "Computer-assisted intervention : Simulation and robotics" for their article : Toward Real-Time Simulation of Blood-Coil Interaction during Aneurysm Embolizationat the 12th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) - september 22 -24, 2009 - London.

Maxime Descoteaux received the " prize Erbsmann " of the best article, signed jointly by Rachid Deriche, C. Poupon, J.F. Mangin and D. Ignasi Sau Valls , Z. Project-team RESO: Best student Demo Award at the international conference Sigmetrics / Performance 2009

Patrick Loiseau, Romaric Guillier, Oana Goga, Matthieu Imbert, Paulo Goncalves, Pascale Vicat-Blanc Primet (project-team RESO) were rewarded for the best student Demo Award entitled "Automated Traffic Measurements and Analysis in Grid5000" during the international conference Sigmetrics / Performance 2009 in Seattle.

Bruno Levy: Special prize of jury in "Trophées du Libre"

Bruno Levy (Project-Team ALICE) acquired the special prize of jury for software Graphite, a platform for research in modelling 3D and picture of synthesis, and the 3rd price in the category "sciences " in "Trophées du Libre".

François Sillon (project-team ARTIS) received the Eurographics Award 2009 during the conference Eurographics 2009 for its jobs on pictures of synthesis.

Gérard Huet (INRIA Research Centre Paris - Rocquencourt) : "EATCS Award 2009"

The EATCS (European Association of Theoretical Computer Science) Award 2009 is awarded to Gerard Huet in recognition of the excellent research contributions to theoretical computer science produced throughout his outstanding scientific career.

Patrick Meumeu (project-team AOSTE): "Best Paper Award"

Patrick Meumeu (project team AOSTE), received the "Best Paper Award" for his article entitled "Improving the Sensitivity of Deadlines with a Specific Asynchronous Scenario for Harmonic Periodic Tasks scheduled by FP" co-wrinting with Yves Sorel and Daniel de Rauglaudre (project team AOSTE) and Laurent George (ECE) during the ICONS 2009 conference, The Fourth International Conference on Systems (Cancun, Mexico, march 1-6, 2009).

Springer Handbook of Robotics: "Two prices of PROSE awards"

The book Springer Handbook of Robotics received two prices of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) for Professional and Scholarly Excellence (The PROSE Awards), The first one in "Physical Sciences & Mathematics", and the second one in Engineering & Technology. Six researchers from INRIA participated in this work (B. Espiau, Fr. Chaumette, JP Merlet, P. Morin, C. Samson, Mr Parent) who's refers in the field of robotics.

Pierrick Gaudry (project-team CACAO) received the scientific price of the university Henry Poincaré, computer mention for its jobs on the cryptologie with public key using the elliptical and hyperelliptical curves, and particularly on the problem of discreet logarithm, counting of point and law of efficient group in groups linked to these curves.

Luc Bouganim (project-team SMIS) in collaboration with Bjorn Tor Jonsson (Reykjavik University) and Philippe Bonnet (University of Copenhagen) received the best paper award during the conference CIDR 2009 - Pacific Grove, Californie, for his article entitled "uFLIP: Understanding Flash IO Patterns". Fabien Lotte, (project-team BUNRAKU): AFRIF thesis prize

Fabien Lotte, former doctorant in Bunraku project-team, in post-doc at Singapour obtained AFRIF thesis prize for his thesis entitled "Study of Electroencephalographic Signal Processing and Classification Techniques towards the use of Brain-Computer Interfaces in Virtual Reality Applications" (December 4, 2008).

Jonathan Boisvert (project-team ASCLEPIOS): Prize of thesis in joint guardianship 2009

Jonathan Boisvert is a prize-winner of the Prize of thesis in joint guardianship 2009. Its thesis, led in collaboration between the project ASCLEPIOS, the University of Montreal, and the Saint - Justine de Montreal hospital concerned the construction, from the medical images, from the geometrical and statistical models of the scoliosis at the child. The thesis was co-managed by N. Ayache and X. Pennec (project-team ASCLEPIOS), and F. Cheriet( University of Montreal).

Jonathan Touboul (project-team NEUROMATHCOMP): Prize of thesis of the Doctoral Schools.

Jonathan Touboul (project team NEUROMATHCOMP),which supported its thesis of mathematics to the Ecole polytechnique 23 decembre on 2008, has just received one of 10 prizes of theses awarded by the Doctoral Schools for all the disciplines.

Dizan Vasquez, (project-team E-MOTION) received the Georges Giralt/EURON prize which rewards the best European thesis in the field of robotics.
