Team presentation
Sloop’s main objective is to develop algorithmic methods and tools,
with particular emphasis on the design of telecommunication
networks. This involves high level research in the fields of
discrete mathematics, simulation and algorithms.
Research themes
Algorithms, discrete mathematics and combinatorial optimization.
Communication algorithms.
Networks design (optical WDM, SDH, ATM, on-board, mobile and
satellites constellation networks).
Parallel processing and interconnection networks.
Distributed object oriented simulation.
International and industrial relations
Industrial links
Hipertrans project (DG VII Transport program) - road traffic simulation.
Alcatel Space Industries (Toulouse) - design of fault tolerant on-board
networks in satellites.
France TELECOM CNET (CTI) - design of SDH services for companies.
