The general objective of the Rodin group is to design new techniques
for improving the functionality and performance of database management.
These techniques yield languages or algorithms which can be
implemented in database system components or tools.
The group pursues application-driven, system-oriented
research with strong emphasis on prototyping and technology-transfer.
Research themes
Retrieval and integration of information in heterogeneous, autonomous data
sources over global networks like Internet.
Improving the quality of service to applications of information mediation.
