Team presentation
The HIPERCOM project-team aims at designing, estimating and optimizing
algorithms used in the context of telecommunication and information transfer.
The privileged activity domains are protocols, new telecommunication standards
and the optimization of linked services. New networks and services supporting
the Internet represent a privileged ground.
Research themes
Methodology for estimating telecommunication algorithms.
You cannot design right algorithms without good models to estimate these
algorithms.
The different main lines are the following:
Collision solving protocols;
Wireless access protocols;
Order and priority algorithms.
Modelling of traffic and network architectures, information analytic
theory.
Most of the estimating models for network performance come from traffic
scenarios well established. Telecommunication generalization requires calling
some of these scenarios into question. This research theme takes part in the
definition and refinement of new scenarios. It deals also with the
classification and improvement of general analytic evaluation tools.
On/Off traffics;
Wireless networks (routing and frequency reuse);
Very high flow networks and commutation switch architectures.
Design of telecommunication algorithms.
Wireless access protocols;
Wireless routing protocols;
High flow access protocols;
Access protocols with priorities and service qualities.
