Team presentation
RESO members work on high performance heterogeneous networks. RESO provides new solutions in terms of protocols, services and software for next generation Internet networks and infrastructure (grid computing).
RESO project-team is part of the LIP laboratory (Laboratoire de l'Informatique du Parallélisme) of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Lyon.
Research themes
- Optimisation of communication sub-system : communications libraries, IP stacks implementation improvment, high performance active networks, cluster networking.
- High Performance transport for IP WANs : end to end quality of service, high performance transport protocols, reliable multicast.
- Advanced Grid Network Services: End to end Network performance measurement and estimation, active grid, dynamic management of IP quality of service, distributed Grid security.
International and industrial relations
RESO collaborates with various industrial partners (SUN Labs, Myricom, EDF, 3DDL). RESO also participates to various european projects (IST DataGrid, IST DataTag), national french projects RNRT (VTHD++ et Temic) and RNTL (eToile), ACI-Grid projects (Jeune Equipe and GriPPS), ACI Grande Masses de données project GridExplorer. RESO is member of the Grid5000 project. Keywords: High performance networks Internet Ip Quality of service Multicast Active networks Network support for grid
