Team presentation

Work in the AID research team of INRIA Sophia Antipolis focuses on reasoning techniques in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the aim being to develop models, techniques and tools for supporting Knowledge Information Management for Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) in Design applications on Internet/Intranet. Moreover, to construct an appropriate interpretation context of the information that is embedded in these processes or in past experiences, in order to make it more intelligible and increase its reusability.

Research themes

  • Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) for knowledge/information reuse, in particular indexation with behavioral situations.
  • Qualitative and Argumentative Reasoning.
  • Viewpoint Management in Design: viewpoint emergence, correlation between viewpoints.
  • Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Group Decision Making.
  • Research on the above fields is currently being performed together with applications in the areas of Engineering, Environment and Medicine.
