Does the keyboard annoy you? Does the mouse get on your nerves? Why not interact with your computer in a more intuitive way?

Discover the parallel worlds of “virtual reality”, where the tangible and the digital collide!

Traditionally, our communication with computers has been limited to a backlit window display, a series of keys and a mouse to move around... whereas our interactions with our environment are much richer and more complex.

Researchers know how to surpass these limits by plunging us into the artificial worlds of virtual reality. So put on your tactile gloves and a pair of LCD glasses. Sensors identify your movements to adapt your virtual environment in real time. You are right at the heart of the action!

Augmented reality”, meanwhile, incorporates virtual elements in the real world, or vice versa. For example, a surgeon can combine the image of an organ with additional medical information such as analysis results, in order better to identify the essential points of an operation.

Virtual reality tools and techniques are used not only in video games, but also in training for professionals such as pilots. Trainees are placed in conditions as close as possible to real life in order to get them used to managing difficult situations.
