Renaud de Vernejoul, Head of Administration at headquarters
On 1 September 2007, Renaud de Vernejoul was named Head of Administration of the Inria headquarters. He organises and implements the administrative and logistical support services required for managing the resources of general management and the functional departments. His role regarding HR management, financial management, office automation and technical support falls within the scope of duties defined in conjunction with each department at headquarters.
After receiving a DESS (post-graduate diploma) in European law, Renaud de Vernejoul joined the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in 1993, where he performed the functions of lawyer at the institution's headquarters. In 1996, he joined the delegation of the CNRS of Gif-sur-Yvette in order to establish a grouped purchasing and public procurement department.
His interest in scientific audiovisual media led him to take responsibility for managing of a specific service unit of the CNRS, "CNRS Video - Photo Dissemination", responsible for producing and developing the institution's science images, in 2000. In 2003, he was appointed deputy to the director of the Ile-de-France Oeust and Nord regions of the CNRS, where he used his expertise in the fields of administrative management, communications, and development of research results.
