Marie-Laure Inisan-Ehret, General Administrator of Public Finances, had for the last two years been running the national dematerialisation team at the DGFIP (Directorate-General for Public Finances). With a master’s degree in public law, she started her career in 1980 as an inspector for the State Treasury in Paris.

After passing competitive examinations to be appointed a Chief Inspector in 1986, she was charged with verification assignments in Seine-Maritime and Val d’Oise, before serving as assistant director of the State Treasury’s departmental services.

From 1995 to 1999, she ran the verification department at the Recette Générale des Finances in Paris, organising the checks performed by the DGFIP in the Ile-de-France region, then the department of Pensions and Savings Collection at the Paierie Générale du Trésor.

Promoted to Head of Departmental Services at the State Treasury in 1999, she served as signing officer for the Paymaster General of the Ile-de-France region, with responsibility for managing the local public sector.

Appointed a Category 1 Financial Collector at the start of 2006, she coordinated the Ile-de-France support network guiding the transition to the Hélios application (a bookkeeping application for local and regional authorities and public healthcare establishments).
