Antoine Petit, Deputy Managing Director
Antoine Petit has been named deputy managing director to the chairman of Inria. His duties particularly include supervising, alongside the Inria chairman, relations with supervisory ministries and institutional partnerships with research institutions, businesses, and local authorities.
He also supervises training through research and all relations with higher education establishments.
Director of the Inria Paris - Rocquencourt research centre since 2006, Antoine Petit also performed the duties of interim director of the Inria Saclay - Ile-de-France centre from March 2010. Before joining Inria, Antoine Petit held the positions of scientific director of the ICST department of the French National Centre for Scientific Research then Sud-Oeust inter-regional director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research.
Antoine Petit is a secondary and higher-education qualified teaching professional in mathematics, a doctor of science, and a university professor at the Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan. He is a specialist in formal methods, mainly transition system based, for the specification and verification of parallel and real-time systems.
