"Inria’s ambition is to guarantee a maximum impact from our R&D production by accelerating innovation through the transfer of our technologies and our skills.

The information and communication sciences and technologies play a crucial role in the growth of our company and our daily lives. They have a long-term impact on the structure of our economies. Their mastery is a key factor of competitiveness. On the one hand, because they have occupied all fields of activity as a result of their far-reaching nature. On the other hand, because they make it possible to differentiate in certain sectors.

In this context, Inria’s ambition with businesses is to guarantee a maximum impact from its R&D production through the transfer of its technologies and expertise.

As such, the institute has made a strong commitment within the competitiveness clusters in order to identify demand and participate in the dynamics of innovative ecosystems. Our strategic partnerships with the R&D departments of large corporations make it possible to mobilize our teams on industrial-scale research topics. Technology transfer, through business creation or through the partnership with innovative SMEs, is thus a priority of Inria.

However, the development of society and the digital economy also involves interoperability, whether through standardization or through "openness." The reasoned support for open-source software or the opening of public data and the promotion of open standards of the Web are thus elements of our technology transfer policy."
