Inria is proud to announce the creation of its 100th start up, LYaTiss.
Interview with Pascale Vicat-Blanc Primet, Senior Research Scientist at Inria, founding member and CEO of LYaTiss.
Since 2005, Pascale Vicat-Blanc Primet, head of the Inria RESO research team, has been working on virtualization and optimization of high capacity computing network infrastructures. Today, this research represents a real solution for the Internet of the future.
“By virtualizing and combining physical computing and communication resources, it is possible to push back the limits of our current Internet, which, in the beginning, was not designed to serve as a universal infrastructure” explains the researcher. “Thus, our model is able to remove many barriers: insufficiently protected data, inconsistent quality of service, absence of an internal clock and lack of coordination leading to wasted resources, etc. I am convinced of the benefits that our model, which also associates economic and energy sustainability, can offer.”
This is why Pascale Vicat-Blanc Primet has decided to take the plunge and create the LYaTiss start-up, which will be up and running in July 2010. LYaTiss is a pioneer in the sector and will market software as well as virtualization and optimization services for data processing and transmission infrastructures.
