As set out by national research and innovation strategy, the alliances are in charge of transforming the strategic aims into consistent sets of programmes, thanks to the reflection and coordination of the different players involved in research. Inria is a founding member of Allistene, a member of Aviesan and an associate member of the Ancre alliance.

Our 2012 ambitions
In its Ambitions 2012 project, the Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre defines three core fields in line with the Inria strategic plan and the partnership policy established in the PACA region.

Inria, a respected scientific player in its region
Present on the science park since 1981, the Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre works in close collaboration with its regional partners and primarily universities. The Centre favours exchanges and pooling to permit the emergence of dynamic networks of research and innovation. It is with great pleasure that we now see the materialisation on the Sophia Antipolis site of initiatives in which we have participated, such as the creation of the "ICST Campus" or the "Sophia Vision 2020" initiative and the "Sophia Antipolis White Paper", which fed into some of the proposals being submitted as part of Investments for the Future. Our ambition is also to ensure our sustained presence on the Montpellier site by establishing partnerships in appropriate forms like the partnership that we have developed with Agropolis Fondation.
