Anonymity on the web: telltale usernames
Choosing a username can have an impact on the spam that fills up our inboxes. This is suggested in an article published in an MIT journal that demonstrates, for the first time, how a username alone can provide information about its owner. Daniele Perito, an Italian PhD student in the Planete project team, contributed to this study and has developed a tool to test usernames.

How to Skype without being seen!
Skype is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution used by hundreds of millions of people the world over. Inria researchers (Stevens Le Blond, Arnaud Legout and Walid Dabbous) in partnership with a team at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University have demonstrated that a malicious user could invade the privacy of any Skype user.
